Good, but not great. One episode stole the plot from the Movie “Rear Window “. Every couple is couple is mixed race. So the PC Police are happy. The main cop is always brooding (grows old fast).

I find this version to be much better than the remake. No one is better at being menacing than Mitchum. Gregory Peck is always great. The camera work is superb. There was better acting then .

The wooden ships would’ve been crushed by ice during the first winter. They would not had enough food for that many men for that long etc. I’ve read the story of the South Pole explorers and their ships were crushed by the ice.

Cliche about the dark and the boogie man. Childish and boring. The only thing in the dark is less light. The Conjuring series is Much better!

Excellent police detective show. Approach via the real and nagging Manifestations that he alone sees. Who and why was his partner murdered?

Acting is wooden. Cheaply made. Book was good. Movie is boring. King must of gotten the idea from HP Lovecraft story of the “Re-Animater . Lovecraft was the best horror writer of the modern era. Watch “Salems Lot” or the Shining. King’s early books are the best. Later books had his vitriolic extreme leftist views included more and more.

Charming, with humor at the correct moments. With a love story with two Great actors. All acting with no special effects , just acting in a great old story. The entire movie cost $300,000 to make.No set of actors today could do this for any amount of money!

Ricky Gervais is very talented in all directions. Show is funny and sad. A tough combination to pull off. Well done 👍
