It makes a hero out of an idiot who dared to trash common sense and make a solo descent of Bluejohn Canyon in southeastern Utah. Solo adventures are totally stupid in any sport. Most experienced people badly hurt or killed in such mishaps are leaving their buddies at home and going at it by themselves. What ever tragedy that happens to them is a totally self inflicted reality of what can bite you when you ignore true wisdom.
