Did Zack Snyder make this movie intentionally bad so that he'd melt the internet over it? Because if so, epic troll move. It's been hours and we are STILL talking about how bad this movie is. I'm not even going to break down all of the idiocies because the top reviews do a very thorough job, go check those out and you'll understand.
But I just have to say... Dieter's character was the only redeeming part of this movie. Huge plot holes, absurd unexplained emotional tangents, an unprecedented lack of timeliness, and an almost hilarious nonchalant attitude to the fact that a nuclear warhead is headed to their location. I mean literally, THE most idiotic movie I've ever seen in my life. But even if you look past all of that and just try to appreciate the action, blood or gore of it - like most of us probably came here to do - it is genuinely lackluster. Snyder sets up the movie with so much potential: you have a hyper intelligent breed of zombies that is a genuine threat to anyone that comes into contact, and yet you choose to make 1/3 of the movie these ridiculous uncontextualized emotional conversations. So much wasted potential, it hurts. Ouch, Snyder. This took two hours of my life that I will never get back.
If you gave a 5th grader $90 million to make a zombie movie this is what you'd get. He'd spend $70 million on Sour Patch Kids and the rest on this movie.
