Although I didn't watch 1,2,3 but this is completely different from original trilogy. And I really loved the story. After a long time I saw a this kind of film.. When I saw the trailer, it caught my attention. I don't know why people complaining about. It doesn't deserve so poor ratings.

2.0 is a sequel of Robot 2010 which was a masterpiece and probably the best work by Rajnikant. The 2nd film is good and has a good message like bad effect of mobile radiation and a portrait of "Salim Ali The birdman of India" played Akshay Kumar. It is entertaining and good film for time pass but it's failed to reach the level of the first one. Action scenes are pretty similar and less entertaining because it was done before. I think this time Shankar is failed to create any suspense.. My rating of Robot (2010) 8/10 and 2.0 2018 is 7/10

It's not Akshay Kumar's film Gold. That is Gold 2018.
