You spawn with an apple in the middle of a freezing cold Polish countryside. You have no map. No compass. Nothing. And your character must eat and drink non-stop or you’ll die. After many deaths I came across a pumpkin patch though he wouldn’t eat any because he needed a knife to cut it up. I found one and ate about 5 pumpkins. This wasn’t enough to keep me going. I ended up killing a player with an axe and eating him. Then I died. There’s hundreds of houses, greenhouses, warehouses, villages. All empty! Nothing anywhere. Can I drink from a river? No. If a zombies after you, it’s over. If a player comes after you, it’s over. And to top it off, you have to battle through a clunky menu to do anything. You can’t put on a jacket without throwing most of your stuff on the ground first. Want to get your crowbar out and swing it around like a lunatic? You’ll have to stand still for 10 minutes first. I end up walking around in my pants sneezing and dying after 10 minutes. If you die it’s back to square 1. You can’t spawn with friends either.
