I was captured by the cinematography. The Australian Outback is fascinating even as a concept. The casting is perfect. I was not sure about Jamie Dornan. He works too ;). To me, the show reminded me of Fargo (the movie). Anyhow I highly recommend it if you like episodic shows that encourage binge-watching.

It’s not ER lol. The characters draw you in. The politics of healthcare is featured as well as the camaraderie which evolves in chronically tense situations. Entertaining.

This movie gave me a vicarious thrill. I read books and watch videos of thru hiking. Always thought I was too old:). Great acting.

Well-acted. Choppy with many gratuitous scenes of sex and torture. True to the “girl with “ series.

Reworked story. Corny father-son....what? All is forgiven come home,, there’s no place like home etc I just don’t think the film is worthy of deep study eg) swimming to the rocket: rebirth umbilical cord etc Apocalypse Now: weak, obvious try. Liv Tyler overpaid for an uninteresting, little more than cameo role. Donald Sutherland worth ever penny Tommy Lee Jones brought to mind the fabulous No Country for Old Men. Distracting. Brad Pitt: see him in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood I think he was miscast in Ad Astra Disappointing film for me.

This is a story about what might have been. I like that it is unpredictable. All my assumptions were wrong. Writing and directing is top notch The actors succeed in drawing the viewer into their world. Highly recommend

I watched this movie because I wanted to see whether Gwyneth Paltrow would pull it off. Well, kinda sorta. I paid more attention to how she looked and sang. The plot was predictable Leighton Meester as a casting choice for the up-and-coming country star didn’t work for me. Garrett Hedlund delivered as the required heartthrob The music was catchy. The backstage and onstage bits looked authentic. For me, there were too many distractions to keep my attention on the story.

I had decided Cocaine Bear was a stupid movie. Then I watched it. Elizabeth Banks’ deft direction elevates a gore-filled, improbable story to genius high camp. The movie boasts quite a few A-list stars. You’ll smile in recognition. Cocaine Bear is rated R.

Destined to be a cult classic.
