*Spoilers* Oof, I tried to like it. I even finished it so I could give it a fair chance but I still ended up hating it. So many plot holes, so many unanswered questions, so many characters I felt nothing for. The entire premise is to reach the Volcryn and establish contact and that happens for maybe a good 5 minutes out of the entire show. Thale the telepath was played out to have a much larger role than he actually did. Rowan, the xenobiologist goes on a random killing spree (which I assumed was paranoia from his dead wife) but by the next ep all is forgiven? And Karl pretty much dips on his crew so he can go be with his daughter in another parallel universe when the whole point (which is repeated over and over and over) was to make contact so they could help Earth. TLDR: There's a giant "something" in orbit near the planet and a space crew goes to intercept it because they want it to help them based on absolutely zero evidence it's intelligent or friendly. It doesn't.
