This Shinkai's best film. I can tell he has grown as a director with this film. Its absolutely beautiful and deeply heartwarming. The characters all care about each other and the film's message teaches you about the power and beauty of life and how we find loved ones on a journey of self discovery and make lasting friendships anywhere we go. The romance between the characters was natural and genuine and very pure. The conflict intriguing and quite alarming. You really felt for these characters, especially Souta. Idk why it took me so long to watch this, but glad I did. Deeply inspiring film. Grateful I was able to watch this. The ending too, right in the feels T v T

It was okay. The show is a slow burn, like REALLY slow. Its a suspense, mystery, thriller type of crime show. The pacing is slow which drove me nuts but you eventually piece together parts to make a whole. By slow i mean you see the actions of these characters beat by beat and then they stare at each other (esp the girl) for a long time with the same angle and I'm at home like "umm...okay?? Say something!" I've watched Japanese films that value static chemistry but this was just too much it was irritating. Not much happens until the end of the episodes. The only thing I didn't get was that the FL had no real motive to go that insane against him. There was really no personal connection, just a crazy rich chick. I didn't understand her motivation and felt zero sympathy for her. BUT the ENDING was SO satisfying. Thank gawd for that one character (you'll see who). Is it worth watching? Its meh. But if you're curious, go for it. The male lead is pretty good. There's also a lot or random, useless people in the show but I enjoyed the friendship the ML had with his community.

This was SO disappointing. The trailer looked so intense and suspenseful and I was waiting for this to be released but what a bummer. This is one of the most disjointed movies I've ever seen. It's sad that the execution and writing lack immensely because the plot is really interesting. The actresses were actually good, but the scenes and just production made this film so boring and slow and long-winded. There are scenes that don't need to be as long as they were, the flashbacks are thrown in randomly and confusing. It's like the sequence of the scenes were out of whack. It almost felt like even I knew what scene should have come after what, but leaving it to the film, it felt like the film lacked direction. Nanae is depressed with her life and I get her being a victim of abuse all her life but she has no substance and just talks about dying all the time. The MC is a simp for her and killed for her but we don't know why. She had a crush on her in HS but that doesn't justify killing...I still have no idea why the MC is fixated on this woman who is not even gay, she's straight. She's just leading the MC along....sigh watch this if you want but don't expect to be satified.

WOW this movie is intense! I thought End of Sky was brutal but this movie is a wrapping up of all the battles against the Kuryu group. I really loved how each district got enough screentime and you even got to see some background from their past. The passion in this is infectious and whenever I watch a High & Low film, I get so fired up as if I'm there! Haha if you have stuck with the series, you will love this conclusion film. This franchise is one of the best Japanese gang-fighting franchises ever. I can't wait for more!!
