An absolutely fantastic read about the Beatles impact in America, through a Chicago lens. Full of quotes and anecdotes that you won't find in any of the other Beatles books out there (and there are so many!) As a Canadian, this was very eye-opening about the public perception of the group and the individuals towards the end of the 60's. Would recommend this book to anybody who wants to read about lesser explored areas of the history of the fabulous foursome.

An essential guide to understanding the importance of Canada to the Beatles' story. It provides a detailed understanding of the Canadian music industry in the late 1950's and early 1960's, with a particular emphasis on Capitol Records of Canada. It is also full of pictures promotional posters, music trade papers, and all of the variations of every Beatles release up to mid 1964. I can not recommend this book highly enough!
