It appears that much of this show is contrived and I hope that's the case because it shows humanity at its worst. Obnoxious business owners, dysfunctional family, usurious business practices and pitiful downtrodden customers. Everything bad about American culture. Sad and degrading

What a flop. I've never seen a show get so much pre-publicity and fail so completely. The basic problem is the format... it just doesn't work. The highlight of every episode was supposed to be the "reveal" when a mangy mutt reappears as a handsome hound. Problem is we see the groomers working through the program so the :reveal" is anti climactic. The other problem is that the dogs all looked better before their coats were butchered in the name of novelty. BBC - cut your losses. This mongrel needs to be put out of its misery once and for all
