Just when you thought Disney couldn’t do any more harm to the Star Wars Saga you get this… These poor actors and actress will have this… “thing” on their resume for life. I truly hope it’s not a career ender for any of them because they are the only thing going for the move and I believe they did very well with the disaster they were given.
Like all movies of this type the characters had tasks that needed to be completed before heading off to the grand final goal. This “thing” Disney wants to call a movie has too many of these tasks to start off with so that not one had enough time devoted to it to build up any drama what so ever, none, zero, zip, nada drama. Even that final goal was painfully simple with no build up to it at all. If you didn’t come to this film with any concern for the charters you certainly didn’t get any during the film.
Only a hint of at a spoiler:
The one shocker was the final scene between, Rey and Kylo Ren. What the script had them do with each other made me want to barf. None of the movies would lead you to want such a thing from these two charters and it is so far out of charter for each of them… well it makes you want to barf!
This film has so little build up, charter development, and drama that if it had any other name but Star Wars I would have demanded my money back. What a let down! The best thing about this movie is my hope that Disney will never make another Star Wars film. Or if they must, they do so in a galaxy far far away!
