Just finished watching this 20 year old movie for the first time this evening before bed. Tried to be open minded, because I too believe God has a senseof humor. The train fight scene choreographing in particular sticks out as poorly scripted, planned and lack luster at best, but maybe that is a result of 1990"s film editing abilities. If the film had not had the big names to carry it, it would have flopped miserably. Kept waiting for something thought provoking to spark a dialogue within my brain synapses to blend the humor with the seriousness of the subject at hand. Went to bed thinking...well, I will never get that 1.5 hours of my life back. Maybe if I would've seen the film 20 years ago when I was more easily entertained, it may have been tremendously more palatable. Thank goodness for a few zingers and one liners so I could give it one star. Kevin Smith, please keep your day job.
