While not capturing the same jaw-dropping sense of scale and dread of Gareth Edwards' film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a flashy and bombastic globetrotting monster adventure. With its more occult take on Godzilla and Friends, KoTM juxtaposes visions of ancient civilizations and mystical petroglyphs alongside high technology and secret organizations to create something that feels more like an adaptation of the Hellboy/BPRD comics than an entry into the Godzilla franchise...and it ROCKS. Fans of Kong: Skull Island and 2019's Hellboy will find a new love in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Hail to the King, baby!
