Amid huge hype and expectations the movie Agnyaathavaasi released today. I feel sad to say that it's a way beneath a good movie.
Story :
I half : Its just the introduction of all the leading characters. I bet you don't feel anything significantly missed even if you arrive one hour late to the theatre.
II half : Boman Irani being tired of unhealthy human relations raises his kid (Pawan) far away from his wealth and fame. After the sudden demise of Boman Irani his company shackles to the root. The rest is all about Pawan chasing the mysterious murderer of his father and rescuing the throttling empire of Boman Irani.
Pros : 1.Entrances of both Pawan kalyan and Aadhi are superb.
2. Picturisation of the first song is very good.
3. Rao Ramesh, Aadhi, Thanikella Bharani nailed their characters.
Cons : 1. Heroines didn't have any significant part.
2. Boring, dull and sheer stupid first half.
3. Circumlocution in second half.
4. Dialogues are of novice in nature rather raconteur
Summing it all I didn't have a great experience watching it. It's hard to digest that this is a bad movie for PSPK fans ( including me) but we should accept it.
If you have extra free time you may read the following : Guess many of you have watched the movies One nenokkadine and Nannaku prematho. The former though not quite successful at box office was applauded by audience. The latter failed to please any of them. The reason is simple One involved logic but Nannaku prematho was made of logics. The same case apply to Trivikram as well.
Referring mythology in a modern movie is indeed a tough task yet Trivikram pulled it out successfully many a time. In contrast to sprinkling those scenes here and there most of the second half of Agnyaathavaasi was made out of those scenes. Almost every dialogue uttered from Pawan's mouth is either referring to mythology or philosophical in nature. I agree that's the strength of Trivikram. When a director show cases his strength it makes a great impact on screen. But when a director shows off his hold on a particular subject in every single scene it looks terrible. I guess this time it backfired for Trivikram.
