I waited a few days to write this so it wouldn't be so harsh but this movie was bad. I'm so tired of grief being portrayed in the USA as something impossible of overcoming and frankly if that's the only reason she is effed up, please touch grass. But we wouldn't know because it's impossible to understand if there is anything else to her pain. The Cat. I cannot go into this or I will get angry....but the go**amn cat, c'mon Hollywood we are not this dumb. The ending is infuriating. I was tired of this movie ten mins in and it never got better. Only two scenes I enjoyed in the whole thing and a great many more totally annoying ones. Why this wannabe deeply emotional movie had to be merged into a chapter of this alien franchise I have no clue but it didn't mesh. Wet legible notes... unnecessary sacrifices and jesus christ the Cat. Do not spend a penny on this film.

For having so many components I enjoy - I did not enjoy this film. The soundtrack to me felt like it was fighting for the main seat with the movie the whole time. I bought Zendaya as a young girl but not at all in what I think was supposed to be her ten years later? The brunette actor carries the film acting wise and there is no emotional substance to the rest of the film. I felt an urge to get to the "climax" already and the overdone slowed down match felt milked. I was interested the first 30mins and then story and dialogue started to feel empty with incessant heavy beats at some times in some really odd places.

ALOT of action and brutality, but I could not look away from the screen. Between how well it is acted and how well it is shot I was able to stomach the tough bits. It's one helluva story and overall cinematic experience - amazing addition to the mad max franchise and a strong stand alone movie. I'm not sure if there's any role Anya can't play and Hemsworth actually showed he has more range than his super hero stuff. Great film.

Solid second movie. Visuals stunning, mostly very well acted. Dialogue lacking a bit, not sure why sometimes the fremens eyes aren't blue and zero romantic chemistry between Zendaya and Timothy but as far as sequels go very decent. You may not want to rewatch it as many times as the first one but it's a solid continuation of the franchise.

This movie was an ego trip for Gyllenhaal to show off a chiseled physique. It's bad. Very bad. No idea why we can't just name brand new movies something new, this did not need to be named Roadhouse. Besides eyeroll inducing dialogue,his character is bathed in clichés- I genuinely tried to finish this movie but it's not worth it.

This is not a bad movie. It's a very superficial film, you never dive too deep into any of the characters or the obvious abuse the sons endured at the hands of their fathers ego, narcissism and lack of achievement. If anything it feels like it's deliberately ignored to paint him in a better light. I also think we are robbed of the missing sons story and he was part of the family too, his death feels swept to the side for the directors desire to manipulate the story for likeability. It's definitely some of Zac efrons best work even if his altered face is distracting the entire movie. As a wrestling movie it's quite forgettable and hard to empathize with anyone because of how quickly the story is told, with little to no further explanations on situations or emotions. The movie ends and you're sad for the obvious loss everyone dealt with but there's no lasting impression left by it and I have no desire to rewatch it ever again.

This movie is badly cast and unnecessarily whitewashed. The best acting in this comes from the lesser known actors, the A listers feel very forced and unnatural. The editing makes me feel scenes are missing bits, there's holes in the story that unless you google you are not given sufficient information. I don't understand if the costume department wanted him to look like he was wearing his dad's pants or if loose fitting pants where supposed to suggest he had a gut or wide midsection? If that's the case it's badly portrayed because his skinny arms and neck aren't fooling anyone. And his young face surrounded by very obvious makeup and whatever they used to age him- looks like he's wearing a scuba suit and I fixated on that uncovered round inside part of his face the whole movie. The dialogue is bad and lacks emotion. The accents in this movie are beyond bad. Millions of Italians and Italian Americans and they chose Shailene Woodley and Patrick Dempsey to pretend these absolutely horrible accents it's embarrassing. I was bored and felt no connection to anyone except for Penelope and even then it was not her best work nor did they do her character justice imho. Snoozefest. Can't wait till someone makes a better movie with the subject matter.

The acting is flawless. The subtle commentary on relationships, being true to yourself, love, communication, sexuality, a woman's place in different parts of society....fantastic movie.

Thoughtful, touching, human and sincere. Great acting but the main male character is really something else and had me feeling All the emotions. Fully recommend!

I love this movie. Few ppl can do fantasy well and it has all the right ingredients plus some great characters with actors who fully committed to the role. This movie is entertaining with some great old-school VFX, nice death scenes and even a cpl of touching moments sprinkled in. I dont think this was created to be a sci fi in the realm of star wars and the like...I dont even know if I would classify it as a sci fi. I would place it more with the likes of epic fantasy like Legend or Princess Bride, Neverending story. I always add it to my list of cult classics not received well when originally released.
