The larger story of a near E.L.E. event, and how this plays-out for a society and country is realistically explored. Morgan Freeman's portrayal of President Tom Beck is especially poignant, considering the idiocracy of 45. Despite the poo-pooers, this remains one of my all-time favorite films. Why?... because of the 'what if?' factor. The film accurately depicts the elements of 'what if' a comet really was to impact Earth... and how would society and the government react.

I really, REALLY liked this-n... and bought the DVD... however- there was some issue with the menu function. but- the lost room itself is fantastic... kinda next gen twilight zonish... you know... stuff that is so bizarre, your mind says "no effin way". but it is well composed, thought out, and executed. it moves along fast enough that the ADD crowd can follow. nothing over-done... except maybe this review.
