My husband and I loved this entire series, from day one. I had read one of the books and just knew that I would love this series. Anne ‘s woes and joys, her magical, bounding imagination along with her zest for life make each moment an adventure. Combined with the rawness of her new foster parents at parenting, Anne brings both hilarity and turmoil to her new household. Watching her develop family skills, friendships, love with animals , nature and other people, beautifully awkward though it may be. Is like being a fly on the wall. The whole series has been a magnificent peek into the life of an orphan trying to have a real life. For me it was especially poignant, since my mother, born in 1924, read all the Anne books and identified with them as a foster child herself. I sincerely hope that the producers continue the series with Anne of Avonlea. The love of Anne and Gilbert needs to be developed!
