Disappointed in the first episode. It was disjointed, and the characters don't mesh. Georgie has a positive presence, and his "moment" with Mandy's Dad where they hugged was heartfelt. The rest of it felt forced, the laugh track is awful, Mandy and her Mom arguing constantly is terrible, everything Mandy says sounds canned, entitled and negative. There was very little redeeming value in spending 30 minutes watching this show. I had high hopes, but they quickly dissipated. The first episode of this show bombed, but the premise was weak to begin with. Removing the strong characters of MeeMaw, Missy, Dale and Mary and replacing them with Mandy's wretched Mother and a strange brother was doomed to fail.

The SATC series was funny and fresh. This story should have ended then, or at least after the first movie. Each sequel gets worse, and this one has lost 3 core characters, destroying the cohesiveness of the storyline. The three women who are left are no longer interesting, and the show feels like it’s trying too hard to include every possible alternative lifestyle to be modern and inclusive. It feels contrived, desperate and chaotic -like throwing everything on the wall to see what sticks. The three women who are left are aliens of their original selves.
