I only started to watch Midnight, Texas because I was looking for work by Francois Arnaud. I loved him in Showtime's The Borgias on Netflix. He had a key role in Neil Jordan's, The Borgias, as Cesare Borgia (amazing!) and in Midnight, Texas as Manfred Bernardo, the psychic/con-man/drug addict. Midnight,Texas starts off slow and a bit contrived, but after the first few episodes I began to enjoy the story line and the characters. They gradually unfold some back stories which helps build more interest. The talking cat is cute comic relief.
Not the richest dialogue, but with Francois Arnaud on screen a good deal of the time, his good looks and delivery carry this show. Too bad they only had two seasons. I would have loved to see Manfred's character develop.
Oh. And if Midnight, Texas doesn't make you question your own inner demons, then you're not paying attention. ;)
