I would describe the film as weak. The casting was really bad especially Maxim. He had no charisma and I feel should have been older. I did not get the impression that Mrs Danvers was obsessed with Rebecca and her acting was rather poor. Even Mrs Van Hopper had no character . The locations chosen did not give the wow factor which contributed to the complete lack of atmosphere. Has no one ever been to Cornwall ? Wouldn't watch it again or recommend to anyone
