Ok this show is not perfect, but what show actually is... the stuff we hate about it or wish we could change is the stuff that makes us keep watching. Georgiaโs character is a mastermind who has not only survived, but protected her children to the full extent of her ability. Her daughter Ginny has tried to do the same but hasnโt experienced the hardships her mother has because her mother protected her. Could Georgia have been better at mother-daughter talks, sure, depending who youโre comparing her to. Could she have shared more details about her decision-making with Ginny? Absolutely, but why would we watch that version? The writers definitely tried to pack as many issues in here as possible, but, hey, why not? Itโs not gonna kill anyone who is already โwokeโ and it might hit someone who isnโt. Iโm really not sure why they include the scene with Cynthiaโs parapalegic (sp) husband. It doesnโt make me feel sympathy for her or her jerk son. If anything, she and her son should be more understanding of people who are different.
It was not Gilmore Girls to me and much more Little Fires Everywhere. If you are sheltering your children from the real world, then no, donโt let them watch it. Or you could watch it with them and make it an educational moment. If youโre watching for bingeworthy entertainment, then have at it!
