(Some Spoilers) I personally loved this game, and it makes me sad that a lot of people seemed disappointed. I think too many people expected this game to expand on Joel and Ellie’s relationship since that was the focus of the first game, and when that turned out to not be the case people were disappointed. I kind of understand that, but the story that we have was in no way bad, it’s great in fact. I’ve heard some people say that they shoehorned in some LGBTQ characters, but it never really felt forced to me. Story aside, the gameplay was absolutely top notch, the graphics and environments were gorgeous, and the acting was some of the best I’ve seen in a naughty dog game, and that’s saying something. I’m not really sure if this story was as strong as the original, I’ve only just beaten it, so I’m still processing. Still, I’m very happy with the game and I can’t wait to see what naughty dog does next, whether with the last of us or something new.
