The first few episodes seem like a royal Family Guy knock-off. It develops and begins to hold its own as the season goes on though. The characters are too outlandish and unlike their real life comparisons to even be interpretations or satires or the real royal family. Honestly, if they made a completely new family with the same personalities and not pretended the show was a satire it would have been much better. Despite this, me and my wife laughed out loud many times. The C-story's of Kevin and the gay couple outshine the actual royal family's and are more intriguing. Would have preferred the focus not be on actual children. Especially since if they needed more characters there are plenty of royals to add that weren't in the show. Princess Anne would have been interesting. They could have poked a lot of fun and satire at Prince Andrew.
