For its time, even this comedy was scandalous. A reason why it became so popular, but I find it's simplicity and humour very much interesting. We have and many chose to believe in the "Tartuffe", around us even today. Untill this book, I had a hard time to call those individuals by a single word, now I can and will do. And those people will sure take this as a compliment, they feed on that.
