SPOILER ALERT: IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED IT DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW. It was good but could be better. It suffers from the same thing the monsterverse did and it is simply put, not enough Godzilla. Take Godzilla out of the picture and replace him with another monster and the plot becomes much better. But the fact of it is, I’m here to watch Godzilla kick monster tail. Idk maybe this was intended to reach a different audience but as a Godzilla fan I was yet again left thinking: that’s it? Another problem I have is the whole shin gojira evolution approach. Not a fan of that either. Would have worked better if Godzilla was Godzilla from the start. The design for this show was to good to just be seen once or twice in the last four or five episodes. I guess that’s enough ranting about the cons and we can talk about some pros. The human characters and Jet Jaguar are awesome. Loved them! Especially the AI that is a big part of the show. Honestly this show could’ve been called “Jet Jaguar: Singular Point” and it led up to a reveal that Godzilla is the main villain. I would’ve been way happier with that title. But in the end, I liked this better than planet of the monsters Netflix series but think this could use improvement if renewed for a second season (which I hope it is,) a little more Godzilla vs Kaiju is all it needs to be a good show!
