back in my tour of Afghanistan this book was the only thing that helped me through it. Nothing helps your mind more than reading this epic saga of a book. My favorite part is where Joseph Gibaldi's black hawk is shot down and he is the only survivor so he has to fight through hundreds of miles of Jungle, Killing millions of viet kong soldiers and single handedly destroying an entire NVA base. Joseph Gibaldi is a national hero and his auto biography should be read by every american ever.
