To see Jeremy in such a different light is lovely. He's always been good in my opinion and enjoyed top gear but his 'character' got a little tiring. Great to see him here with genuine passion and at times, dare I say, humility. And who knew I would be so interested in what goes into farming? They really are true heroes! Some wonderful characters also included, especially Caleb "Take no prisoners" Cooper! Can't wait for season 2 and might even get the upcoming book! Deffo worth a watch...

I'm late to this film but simply one of the most STUNNING, beautifully shot spectacles I have ever seen. Whilst it doesn't have the backstory or cameraderie of say, Saving Private Ryan or the emotive force of other dystopian war era films such as The Pianist; the 'one take' incredibly lit and shot film matched against the haunting score is thoroughly affecting. Jeez what a strangely beautiful concoction.

Can't believe all the 5 star reviews. Feel this is a case of a writer/director history letting him off the hook. I wasn't a fan of ranging emotionless tedium Dunkirk and neither a fan of this. Watching a Nolan film these days feels like a 3 hour range into the wilderness with no clue of what is going on and vaguely sketched 'characters'. In the hands of a director lesser known and this film would be universally panned. All the most important plot points lost due to overly loud music or characters wearing masks or mumbling with thick accents. It's like Bane on speed. Nolan seems to love this but what's the point of writing a film if the audience can't even hear the words you've written? By the way I LOVED memento and inception and REALLY wanted to like this film. However myself and my partner, who are by no means stupid and actually in the industry, left after 2 and a half hours stating we would have to read about the plot afterwards. Indecipherable. I've just read and yeah...fairly clever...but I wouldn't want to put myself through 3 hours of purgatory again as I really don't care. Poorly drawn characters- a central character with no name or personality: a bond villain and a beaten, controlled and oppressed damsel in distress. Yawn. It's 2 stars because of Robert Pattinson and some well crafted set pieces. And a couple of 'a-ha!' moments- not that these made sense at the end of the film... I'd hoped it would have one of those "f*** that was CLEVER" moments but still unintelligible right to the last scene. And the question of how he fought himself without the universe imploding when it was expressly stated in a rare quieter moment has still not been answered by anything I read. Disappointing...
