Some scenes are cringe worthy over the top. Unsatisfying action choreography. In the end, the directors forced it into soft melodramatic moments- understanding, heart warming and wholesome moments. They have many things to show us but in the end the story is ended with these monotones (is love afterall, accept each other, together we can do it) which makes the movie really uncool. What a boomer. Cant tell its a masterpiece tho. Other than that its great. I am asian myself but with these asian main cast the movie should have done what the title suggests. Because the asian interactions are so chaotic that it is not compatible with exploring emotions. Its very annoying.

Definately overrrated. The acting, cinematograpghy, score are all ok but the screenplay? Forget about the meaning or the point of the story ..there about three or four things I don't like about the script. First is the husband oblivious of his wife drinking problem. Second is Rose feeling uncomfortable and scare of Phil? Why ? Yeah he showed some unwelcoming demeanor towards her but is it enough to lead her to drinking problem? He's not hitting or threating her. Making a big Picture of it leaves the reality to joke. People don't act like this in real life, people don't drink or submerge into depression by being taunted friendly or hostility by others. So Peter killing Phil to ease his mother pain is a big non sense writing. Selling Phil's cow hide Defiantly? How must I understand that scene? In short The power of the dog is a nothing but a incoherence writing of character' actions and plots which doesn't apply to the real life and I have seen enough of this in The Piano and this agian. I can't pretend this film is the best of the year. If u can see this as I do it doesn't mean you luck artistic or cinematic vision or whatever. Its just what you plainly see ..a dumb bad movie pretending to be great. Jane Champions movie doesn't speak much also the action doesn't have the meaning at all. And Phil didn't deserve to die as he haven't done anything bad on those two mother and son. Most pointless movie and the critics and awards recognise it makes me puzzling.I don't want to talk about it but they have done the same thing with the piano which was also not nominee worthy...feel like they have to recognise the women's work or something. Don't let this happen like last year's promising young woman.

Well i mean it sure does deserve for its unique approach and diversity. But how the hell did they nominate the acting? I dont get it. It deserves for the editing and the Screenplay but nothing more. Lets stop pretending like its a masterpiece.

The movie imagined way too far. The meeting, the planning and awkward cringeworthy speeches are too messy and painful for me to watch. I am pretty sure there are so many ways to tell the story but this is a disaster.

This is not the final review as i have watched only the camera version.. so can't deduce on visuals but i believe it will be good. The story structure is very vague and straightforward. Feels like there is no material in it. To describe it clearly i have to compare it with Ranarok. We all know what makes Ranarok good..its humor, vibrant visuals and music. Taika tried to put these "his signatures" in love and thunder again but the problem is ..its inconsistency with the tone. The tone itself is lost between the romance and comedy. Also the story isn't worthy to be described as an adventurous journey..why? Because they made the substance so easy and light there is no depht in it. Even the movie has the mcu's serious characters the plot couldn't live up to it. Again, in terms of Ragnarok..yes Hela was introduced quickly just like Gorr here. But Gorr didn't have the sufficient amount of screen time and also his goal is more like a pacy temporary thing. He is there , Gorr is there ..trying to pull out his character but didn't get enough to give big impression on us audience. Hack, i cant even tell at least Bale's acting is great because of his rushed character. Hela on the other hand ..has a quick start but she got her time enough to built her role as a part of Ragnarok and she also has a definitive objective to execute. I think its a bad idea to include jane foster. Her becoming the mighty thor is the souless thing in the whole movie. Man, a lot the things happened in the movie are done unexpectedly in a bad way of course. And you need a location man. A location!! GOTG 2 has the ego the planet, Infinity war has the titan, Ranarok has sakaar. If the story has to take on multiple places at least you have to put the effort on the script like Dr strange 2, civil war, endgame. Love and thunder didnt have either. So the result is disgraced finishing touch to the franchise. Not saying to take out the light-hearted but it should have shown the elements that can help in the tribute of Thor's legacy.

I have always fascinated the detective movies especially in neo-noir theme such as Blade Runner and David Fincher' movies. Raining nights and neon lights detective noir has been the ambience that I always look forward to and the Batman successfully delivered it in every aspect. So first of all I would like to appreciate the vibes which also means the excellent cinematography of Greig Fraser. Michael Giacchino's score is as astounding in its own way as its predecessors. Not to mention the wardrobe, makeup and production design are outstanding as well. Moving on to the script, it lives up to its own genre exploring uncovering the underworld, corruption, inequity and escalating crimes of Gotham. It didn't sidetrack from its own story. It mainly concentrates on the plot, the progress, connecting the dots. As a result we got a solid, interesting and yet less complex storyline where batman does what he does the best... the detection. And finally the characters, Robert Pattinson' batman is not as sociable as other batmans. But he ( and Matt Reeves of course) introduced us the new version of batman...quiet, intelligent and carrying the full sense of justice in him. This batman doesn't tend to be goofy and playboy like most of the batman did. Riddler performed by Paul Dano, yet another exceptional villain character. The concept of villainy and source of problems in batman movies may always will be about questioning of the justice, truth and lies about society and government and the conundrum of deciding what is right and wrong. Villains who hold the belief of end justifies the mean, who try to purge the sins and evilness to create pureness...these things give me a little glimpse of thought into the movie and will always be one of the reasons why I like the world of batman. The Dark Knight Trilogy did it and the Batman's Riddler did the same thing too and I'm not complaining. The characters, the story, the direction and the technical achievements of The Batman are the things that made the movie one of the best and authentic batman movie as well as one of the best superhero movies out there right now.

It was not a totally disaster as given critics' bad ratings. Yes, the topic of mop invention might be boring and there is only a short story in it. I admit there is no significant in narrative. But it presents the idea of entrepreneurship, about how they promote their business , about patents, rise and fall and finally there is an elemental cliche that we used to see in the movies " never give up even in hard situations" warps up the movie. And the family thing I think we can all somehow relate to it ...even among your own blood relatives there are overachieving ones who are jealous and want to sabotage everything you do, good companions who always support you, business mergers, ones who patronise you when you are successful and leaves you in your downfall ...this diversity in family is one of authentics the movie showed. Two things, one is Joy's breakthrough of her genius idea and got a sponsor and put it in manufacturing right away is seemed a little paced and the whole moment is almost as a fantasy in terms of real life. Two is Deus ex machina-ing out of Joy's hopeless bankruptcy situation just by noticing the obvious misconduct in paperworks. It's just too convenient. It's a good movie overall ..there is not much story and interesting in the whole rags to riches thing but what you can see is some knowledge and family ethics with comedy around in it.

Too many forced sexist and racist jokes which had breached beyond the boundary of humour into disturbing and annoying. Writing is like excessively trying to make the dialogues and characters funny. Result is a poorly executed show. Anyone who is positively demanding the farce of this show should reconsider their own intelligence.

Truly an amazing movie. Dennis Villeneuve never disappoints me. This is the part one, so understandably, everything they showed here may not be breathtaking or peak of action and climax but rather slowly creates the strong worldbuilding and spiritual lore of Dune. The score of Hans Zimmer and cinematography of Greig Fraser are at its bests. I believed with the upcoming sequel part(s), it will complete as great sci-fi saga.

I don't know why people regard this movie as one of the best sci fi classics or best plot twist ending. The thing is the main character taylor, insisting himself he's from earth and the planet he crashed on is an alien planet, instead of seeing human, apes, horses, earthy plants and gadgets, the english language and writing.. on that planet? are u kidding me? Water and atmosphere that i can understand. I dont know the script is trying to convince the audience that the planet is not earth or not, but at least the main character shouldn't have been stupidly written.If they wanted to make sure of that...they should have shown that the humanity have some colonization on other planets something like that. its all pointing to the script's fault and whoever missed these facts i mentioned and thought the movie is good, you are a poor movie watcher.And shoutout to Taylor's crew for not objecting , but accepting the planet is not earth.
