It's Orwellian. Honestly I thought I was gonna despise this book. I was wrong... 'The predictions for what 1984 could have looked like if it was a dystopian future' isn't far from the truth. The book was made 3 years after World War II, when political tension was really starting to pick up steam, and the date 1984 is just an inversion of when it was written, 1948. George Orwell himself was very far ahead of his time... He actually served in the Spanish Civil War, and was shot straight at the throat, and doctors back then believed he really would die early. Somehow, he survived and did beautifully in his career as a book writer, and I believed he survived cause God wanted him to write this book. As a warning for what the world could be like if we don't play our cards right, 36 years in the future.
