The movie is perfectly sonic. Quick, witty, fun, light hearted but authentic, and kid friendly. Jim Carrey's Robotnik was really awesome to watch. I am so glad they redesigned their original take on sonic because the previous one would have been tragically hilarious. Just imagine that thing doing the scenes in the movie and you'll know what I mean. A good message was conveyed through the movie, which is true to the old sonic cartoons. The real world pop culture references were also well done. I am really looking forward to the sequel/s.
