Massively overpraised movie, big win for diversity and it is a step in the right direction for diversity in movies going forward, however people need to stop praising the film on this alone.
The first half hour is boring and slow, the action is average, the CGI is very hit and miss and especially bad at the end. It was great to see the MCU set somewhere other than New York and it offered some very beautiful visuals, aswell as some good characters and a compelling villain (even though marvel movies are often criticised for having a villain who is the mirror image of the hero but for some reason this movie gets a pass in that regard?...) Also quite a lot of holes in the story and vibranium suddenly became something that could do anything and everything without explanation...
Overall not a bad movie but people need to take a step back and stop calling the movie amazing purely because of the win for diversity. Also blade was around first AND as a franchise and that is another thing people keep praising BP for, being '1st' in stuff when it wasn't.
