I feel Odyssey's DLC was more ambitious than this, and it had a point to exist while this doesn't. Even after getting the ending, I was puzzled and even baffled.

I don’t know how to feel about the ending.

Them not playing the games is its biggest downfall. As soon at they start messing with the lore thats already there, Im checked out. The makers of the show have no idea how to merchandise properly. If they had just made the show’s story follow the the story of the games, it would have been more tolerable. Maybe it would have encouraged new audience to try the games themselves, and then they would have had a sense for the story. Why they decided to follow an uninteresting character is beyond me. Probably because bad writing, mediocre cgi, and boring parts of the halo universe is cheaper to make. I don’t understand how independent films do better than paramount. The halo 3 odst trailer has a more interesting story alone with way better action and cgi. In short, Paramount was the wrong choice to host a tv series. Its like they expected just the Halo IP to carry it; but how do you intend to do that without knowing about the video games that popularized the IP in the first place. Fans of a particular IP always expect the story and characters to at least align with its source material. PS: I refuse to accept master chiefs face reveal. You guys at paramount should have left it hidden.

Gameplay is good. But its marketing and story kills it for me.
