The relationship seemed artificial; the characters were not believable. The acting was fine - the problem was with the script.
The opening scene portrays the husband as a super considerate person, that makes everyone feel like family, a trait the wife "loves" about him. This is in stark contrast to her depiction of him as a selfish, inconsiderate husband who never even gave a single thought to her wants and needs.
The wife is simultaneously depicted as a fun-loving and very caring individual who listens and empathizes with others yet is a messy slob who never really cooks or cleans (which is a very inconsiderate trait). Both are very civil to each other despite any problems. In the end we really don't have a sense that they had a "good" marriage, but there isn't a strong sense of dislike either.
The best that can be said is this story, their story, is boring.
