Three stars is generous. This was a pretty big disappointment and could have been so much better. All the elements are there, but the story line was trash. X was good, Pearl was great, Maxxxine was "meh". Mia Goth kept me watching. But I feel it was not as good as it should have been.

I do love this movie and grew up watching it. But watching it again in my 40s....I have to say.. it's a little messed up.. this would definitely not fly today. That's probably why they reversed the roles in the remake.. can you imagine if this really happened ?? This guy would have a LOT of charges.. the 80s were a different time for sure
