You will laugh, you'll cry, and you'll be shattered. The great thing about Promising Young Woman is that everybody has a different reaction to it. Around 10 minutes into the movie, I was sold. Two minutes after that, enter Bo Burnham, I realized this is going to be one of my favorite movies. I have found myself going back to multiple scenes in the movie many times. Everything about this movie is phenomenal, the risk that Emerald Fennell takes of shifting the movie into different genres is brilliant. Every performance in this movie is fantastic. Carey Mulligan devours the screen as Cassandra! Bo Burnham was equally incredible as Ryan, he is extremely underrated. This movie will stay with me for a really long time, as it should. Everybody should watch this film. Awards or no awards(though, they should get them all) this cast and crew made something incredibly special, and it deserves to be seen and spoken about.
