Why was this adaptation needed? Completely awful, too pretty, horrible acting, plot chopped up in ways that skipped the best parts of the novel that I adore. Yet, the dancing scenes were overlong and did nothing to advance the plot. Actors seem to be reading their lines--and badly. Most of it seems like forced satire/camp. Only good thing is Miranda Hart. Otherwise, a complete waste of money and time.

Just finished Season 6. What a fabulous show: great acting, great writing (we are familiar with the books), very plausible and addictive. You grow to care so much about the characters that you think about them when you are not watching and worry over their fate. So refreshingly different from the prevalent TV-Mature fare, with a small, believable amount of profanity, no gratuitous sex or nudity, no graphic or gory violence. Fantastic! Please keep this going! Only 1 more season! So sad! Please bring us more content of this caliber!!!

I agree with so many points, but will reiterate here: 1-Soundtrack is awful and distracting, please eliminate 2-Vignettes with Tim and Heidi are totally boring and a waste 3-Every designer should be critiqued on the air. Cut out the Tim/Heidi stuff, the fabric shopping, and some of the endless sewing. I also don't need to see the models getting their hair and make-up done. All time wasted. 4-Jonny has received helped twice (from Rinat and Esther) because he could not finish. His looks are not that fashion-forward and basically one-note. He should have been eliminated over Megan. Also, his jumpsuit look in Episode 7 should NOT have won over Megan's look. I can't imagine anyone buying/wearing that! 5-Naomi Campbell knows fashion and the fashion industry, certainly more than an "influencer" and I think her comments are very original and honest. Are they sometimes crude? Sure, but fashion is a cutthroat industry and those in this business need to be able to take harsh criticism and rejection. 6-Megan Smith was robbed. I feel that Jonny was "promised" to be in the finals from the first episode. 7-For everyone saying you should not play the "race" card, then Jonny should not play the "queer" card every time he speaks to the camera and when he has had to defend himself. OMG a gay person in fashion design! Poor dear, what a challenge for him! //sarcasm off
