This television experience is the most authentic LGBTQI drama that I have experienced. The writing and integration of times decades and eras is spot on.
A lived experience that resonates. Truths that have been sidelined for decades laid bare.
Lives limited, imprisoned and tortured by fear and assault.
Here we have curtains lifted. Love is love. Nature is nature.
In fact the passion and intimacy cries for truth and is there for all to see .
The cast is so well chosen. The leads are like a representation of gay nirvana amidst a shit storm. The intimacy coach has given us the best private seat in the room.
Jonathan Bailey's Skippy the heart and soul of the story. His truth is so moving at every stage of his life journey. Matt Bomer plays a complex puzzle of a frightened yet driven man Hawk. Who takes so long to let go. So many opportunities for opening up but a true victim of the Lavender Era. Control for him is everything until it isn't. I could go on, however the ending left me sobbing and feeling that my life has been reflected for the first time in a film or public arena. Thank You Daniel Monahan and Ron Nyswaner. Thank you everyone.
