Bar the Dynasty storyline, every addition and omission leaves this poorer than the source material. Such a shame, as it's visually stunning.

First season was solid, carried by Jason Isaacs and Michelle Yeoh, but has been going downhill since. There is little to no character development but, even when there is, it reveals 2 dimensional and fairly annoying crew members. Such a shame, as I've loved every other Trek.
