Mixed feelings. I watched quite a few trailers before seeing this movie, watched Mister Rodgers when I was very little. Expecting it to be the story of mister Rodgers you know, the life behind this epic icon. The plot focused so much on this writer dude’s life, hardly about mister Rodgers. It’s like a movie of a struggling man and his fam that happens to have mister Rodgers in it. So many awkward silences, and strange moments. But it was beautifully shot and awesome nostalgia. Felt so boring at some bits tho. Idk I’m very picky about the movies I like, was pretty disappointed by this movie. Maybe need to watch it again? Maybe I would like it? My mom who grew up watching mister Rodgers really loved it tho(age 45), so maybe it’s more for my mom’s generation? But our 23ish old friend enjoyed it too? So... I honestly don’t know. Would watch again just to try and understand, not coz i enjoyed it that much. My fave part tho was the end where it actually focused on Mister Rodgers and how he did feel a burden by his job. It was really beautiful and touching. Watch for yourselves to form your own opinion tho!
