this anime is amazing. the plot is fascinating, the art style is incredible, and it's an overall 20/10! the summary of the plot (no spoilers don't worry! everything here is either revealed in the first two episodes or the anime intro) is: Ai Ohto, a 14 year old girl, is always at home due to bullying for her heterochromia, as well as the recent death of her friend, who killed herself. at the beginning of the anime, she buries a cockroach, who then leads her to a place where she can buy eggs. in a dream, she goes to her school and opens the egg, where she finds out that the contents of the egg are girls of the same age as her, and in order to... win this, I guess? she must destroy the cause of their trauma. every time she does this, she gets closer to having her friend back. but as she visits the egg place more, she makes friends with the other girls who use the wonder eggs. sorry about how long that is, it's a really interesting plot :) also, don't listen to the 1 star reviews, very few make sense haha- watch it and judge for yourself! bonus: it has great LGBTQ+ representation!

(warning: minor spoilers in case you decide to watch it!) honestly a terrible film. starts off well though, introducing the characters and life in this extreme lockdown. but then it goes downhill. for one, the plot doesn't make much sense, in a way. it splits off, adding a different plot that isn't much to do with the main story? (I'm referring to the affair between the man and the streamer) because honestly it would've been cute for the main guy's friend to have his relationship with the streamer built on more, as all we see are a few interactions. I didn't pay much attention to the movie (as it's so uninteresting) so this is all I can say really. Also the title makes no sense, so maybe they could've incorporated songbirds into the movie.
