I saw "Joker" movie and it is a good mid-week treat for busy professionals like myself. Joaquin Phoenix's performance is compelling and I think he makes the perfect actor for the role. He is great. I think he deserves an award as commendation for his performance in this film. In addition, I like the story that traces the origin of Batman's foe. I now understand the story of Gotham City and why the Joker wreaked havoc there. I think his turning into a madman makes sense, considering the myriads of tribulations he experienced in his life and with nobody helping him. Any person who experiences similar tough situations would also feel pushed to the edge and may lose his mind. "Joker" is also relevant in today's times when mental health problems worldwide is ascendant. The movie informs the global audiences that kindness is a must to achieve a peaceful society. Otherwise, if selfishness, greed, apathy, and all the vices rule, it is inevitable that some members of the society will turn into someone like the Joker. Great movie! Five stars!
