With bombastic beats that veer off from the usual. Dälek stand out with sharp political views with cutting lyrics and a brash attitude. The album flows together like a well made cuisine. Took dedication and time, but the complexity of it all made up for whatever was put into it. Despite being an experimental hip-hop album (More specifically industrial hip-hop), this album's very approachable and worth your time.
From the bombardment of noise and spiritual questioning of songs like "Spiritual Healing", to the dissonant, pained and heartfelt knowingness of "Forever Close My Eyes", this album is a thoroughly enjoyable lost gem. The only questionable part being the clutter of the cacophony of harsh wails and avant-garde wonder known as "Black Smoke Rises". Might not be for everyone, but it serves its purpose when the time comes.
Do check this album out if you're looking for something new.
(P.S. Only listen to "Absence" by Dälek. Everything else is a skip.)
