Some people are honestly expecting too much from a Halo TV series after just one episode. Halo the game was not successful because of Master Chef, it was mostly successful because of it's epic story/campaigns. Reach and ODST were both huge successes even without MasterChef because of the stories. This series reminds me of the Witcher with a beefy main character surrounded by an epic story and good writing that will kick in as the series goes. Also, once Cortana gets added in it could be a dynamic duo similar to baby yoda and the Mandalorian. Anyways some people need to calm down the TV series is not always exactly the same for example, GOT. Give this series some time and I'm sure the epic Halo world and story will take over.
