I have not read Ruth Ware before and decided to read this novel because of the tarot card theme - I love tarot.
The plot is a little old fashioned and unlikely but the tale is well told though the characters lack depth or plausibility.
I was surprised to learn that Ruth Ware gleaned her knowledge of tarot from research alone as she writes as someone well acquainted with the cards.
Her understanding of tarot readers was less convincing.
Lots of atmospheric twists and turns but the plot is a little slow.
I persevered with this book on account of my interest in tarot cards otherwise I would have skimmed through to the end.
