Great acting. Way too long a movie. And it twisted in veered in so many directions, that I was praying they wouldn't add any more, so this barge of a movie could finally come to a conclusion. They could easily have cut about 45 minutes without losing anything, and it would have gained a livelier, more interesting pace.
The story, while compelling, didn't explain why the imprisoned daughter was so angry at her father, and the film -- and the lead character -- forgave her so easily when in fact (spoiler alert) she was the cause of Lina's death and took no responsibility for it. What a little monster!
