Well, as a personal point of view, I believe this boring story is just a kind of show-off for the writer to list her knowledge & experience in medical cares and musical genres & instruments!
Half of the story is filled with the names of people, musical instruments, musical genres, hospital divisions, clinical activities for patient care!!
