It's slick and well made, but unlike it's original claimer, is neither realistic, nor is it based on actual events. For the most part, it functions as an American propaganda film, with the American version of events. Where the native people of Somalia are treated as hostile, barbaric and violent, without motive or empathy, which is quite frankly, racist. And the US Army Rangers and Delta Force are the knights in shining armor. But if you want a good action movie with well made and realistic shots, while ignoring the sometimes noxious levels of propaganda, this is your film. 5 stars for the action, -3 for the racism and the fictional portrayal of events.
