This movie is the 10 year culmination of the MCU and most notably the end of phase 1 of the cinematic universe. Introduction of captain marvel and the optimized version of the said 'dead' superheroes in the sequel will begin the shift to phase 2 ... also retiring a few of our beloved characters in the process. Can't wait for it... 2019 isn't too far away! Just sayin'.
