Very fun. I like the franchise and this didn't disappoint one bit.

Hi. I'm Johnny and I like toy cars, my momma and really slow, long walks in the woods. If you think you've seen it before, you have. The only difference is the painfully slow pacing. It's like an indie short film did well at festivals, so they decided to turn it into a feature length... just by dragging out all of the walking in the woods shots.

A bit predictable, yet refreshing. Great cinematography & some classic gore. On my list for October repeat. Give it a watch and enjoy!

It's better than I expected it to be. I ignored the reviews because it had a lot of people I like in the cast. It didn't disappoint. Just a nice prequel if you're a fan of the original. Give it a chance. It's entertaining.

I liked this. Then again, I like arty movies so maybe it's not everyone's cup of tea. It's dialogue-absent approach is refreshingly stylistic and, for me, totally works. I think it could be over analyzed for deeper metaphor, or simply enjoyed as an arty alien piece. Either way, I think you could watch it a couple of times and find new things to ponder & speculate. Definitely worth a watch (or two).

I thought it was pretty good! Some great jump scares and nothing that made my eyes roll. I thought the creature was pretty great! Definitely worth a watch.

I give 2 stars strictly for SPF, though I don't know why he agreed to do this film. His performance was exhausting to watch with over the top facial ticks, but he was still the only interesting thing in the film. The psychiatrist came off more like a smarmy lawyer and the script in general was really bad. Even the set was horrible. I kept laughing at how bad the brick walls looked. I've seen better sets in high school plays. I gave this film a shot, despite skimming over the synopsis and seeing "Christian-horror" (didn't even know that was a thing), and wished I hadn't. I stuck with it to the anticlimactic end, even though halfway through I realized I was being subjected to obvious right-wing propaganda. Unless you're an ultra conservative, right wing Christian fundamentalist wanting to feel safe in your echo chamber, don't waste your time on this film. Thank God I didn't pay money to see it.

This movie was utterly pointless. I kept waiting for a plot, a point, a purpose, a twist. Anything. It goes absolutely nowhere. I don't understand why it had good marks and now I have zero faith in those common benchmarks because they clearly don't know a good movie from an overly arty, pretentious waste of time.

Excellent film.
