Remember how long the pre-order page was displayed on consoles? More than a 1.5 yrs. Now a lot of people say "what would you expect from last gen?" The game was MADE for last (at time current) gen. The worst about the CDPR (very respected by me up until) isn't the technical condition of game, but the fact of hiding it (for consoles) until the release - for the profit. A lot of people would call it criminal. Personally, bought a disk version of PS4 (ouch!), to keep it as a relic of greatness... after 40 gb zero-day-patch, 18 gb first-day-patch, game still runs terrible, "drakefaces", pop-ups, texture streaming, models clipping, frame-drops, freezes, crashes, etc. I don't think it'll be playable on last-gen ever. Ever.
